Composites UK, the trade association for the UK composites supply chain, will be taking the final of its regional roadshows for 2017 to London, covering the South East area.
The event, held in partnership with the National Composites Centre, takes place on Tuesday 12th December at Queen Mary University of London in its prestigious Octagon which was originally the University’s library.
These regional events showcase the financial and business services available in each locality and includes case studies from companies highlighting how they have used support or collaboration to further their products, technology and in turn, their customer base. This particular event will include a keynote speech from Robert Dean, Principal Engineer (Structures) at Network Rail, giving an OEM’s perspective of the opportunities and challenges for the composites industry within the rail sector.
Topics covered include:
- Service and support for London and the South East – Department for International Trade
- R&D tax credits and the Patent Box – Claiming what you are due – GovGrant
- Support from the Business Growth Hub – UK Export Finance
- The SME Support Programme – National Composites Centre
Case studies will be given from FAC Technology, Frewer Engineering and Queen Mary University of London.
A limited number of case study slots are still available, as are sponsorship opportunities from table-top exhibition spaces through to delegate pack inserts. More details on this and online registration can be found on the event page on the Composites UK website.
